In this guide we will explain how to convert DVD movie to MPEG1 format and then burn it onto a CD using AoA DVD Rip software.

1. Load Your DVD File.
Insert the DVD disk into your DVD-ROM drive, and select "Import From DVD Disk" from the "Load DVD" menu to choose the root directory of your DVD disk. You can also directly select an IFO file in your DVD movie by selecting "Open an IFO File".

2. Set The Output Profile.
Select the range to copy. AoA DVD Rip Software lets you copy entire DVD movie, chapters or movie clip flexibly.
From "Convert To" drop-down lists, choose "VCD (MPEG-1)", audio track format, subtitle language (if any) and the output directory.
Tips: If you'd like to rip DVD to SVCD, please choose "SVCD (MPEG-2)".
3. Rip DVD to standard VCD or SVCD Simply click the "Start" button to begin the conversion. No more worries about scratches ruining your precious collection of DVD's! Please Note: Before start converting DVD to VCD format, please open the "Settings" window and set the value of "Output Frame Rate" and "Resolution" as the following:
NTSC VCD:
Horizontal width: 352
Vertical height: 240
Frames per second: 29.97
Color depth: 24 or 32 bits PAL VCD:
Horizontal width: 352
Vertical height: 288
Frames per second: 25
Color depth: 24 or 32 bits
Please Note: Before start converting DVD to SVCD format, please open the "Settings" window and set the value of "Output Frame Rate" and "Resolution" as the following:
NTSC SVCD:
Horizontal width: 480
Vertical height: 480
Frames per second: 29.97
Color depth: 24 or 32 bits PAL SVCD:
Horizontal width: 480
Vertical height: 576
Frames per second: 25
Color depth: 24 or 32 bits
4. Burn VCD or SVCD onto a CD with nero or other CD Burner
Tips: If you don't have Nero, click here to get a free CD burner software - VcdWizard.
Launch Nero and then click the Wizard button.
(1). Select CD in the list.
(2). Select the Video CD icon or the Video CD tab.
(3). Select radio button PAL or NTSC depending on what format your output VCD file, which is generated by AoA DVD Ripper.
(4). Click the New button.
(5). Locate your .mpg and drag it to the region.
(6).
You can add multiple mpg files at one time.
(7). Rename the CD by pressing F2 on NEW.
(8). Select File->Write CD or click Open the write cd dialog... button.
(9) Select a Write speed, lower speed would work better.
(10). Select Disc-At-Once in the Write Method.
(11). Check the Finalize CD box in Action.
(12). Click Write button.
