In this guide we will explain how to rip your DVD movie to DivX, AVI, Xvid, MPEG4 format using AoA DVD Rip software.

1. Load Your DVD File.
Insert the DVD disk into your DVD-ROM drive, and select "Import From DVD Disk" from the "Load DVD" menu to choose the root directory of your DVD disk. You can also directly select an IFO file in your DVD movie by selecting "Open an IFO File".

2. Set The Output Profile.
Select the range to copy. AoA DVD Ripper lets you copy entire DVD movie, chapters or movie clip flexibly (See DVD Copy Mode).
From the drop-down lists, choose "AVI (DivX, YUV, Xvid..)", audio track format, subtitle language (if any) and the output directory.
Click the "Output" tab to set the Output Frame Rate, Aspect Ratio (Letter Box 4/3 is recommended), Resolution, etc. Please note that the higher resolution, the bigger file size. And width and height must be a multiple of 16.
3. Click The "Start" Button. Simply click the "Start" button to begin the conversion. No more worries about scratches ruining your precious collection of DVD's!
Note: The first time you convert a DVD to AVI format, you must select a video codec on the "AVI Settings" window which pops up automatically. If you want to copy DVD to DivX format, select "DivX Codec" in the drop-down list of "Video Codec". The next time you copy DVD to AVI, the program uses the codec which you last used, by default.
Converting DVD to DivX is recommended. DivX is a popular format for viewing DVD movies on PCs due to its high compression rate. The DVD copied and compressed by DivX is of high quality and only takes up 1/10 original DVD space.

Open the "Settings" window >> Choose the "AVI Settings" tab >> Select "DivX 5.1.1 Codec" from the drop-down list of the "Video Codec".
